The CDB01.1C-ET-ENS-ENS-ENS-ENS-S2-S-NN-FW basic universal control section offered by Bosch Rexroth is used in a drive controller which controls as well as monitors the connected motor. The control section has a relay contact with a pickup delay of 10ms and a dropout delay of 10ms. The product also comprises probe type digital inputs with 3mA current rating and 24V voltage rating. The device should feature protection against polarity reversal of the supply voltage by incorporating a protective diode in the power supply. Its digital inputs and outputs need an external supply voltage connection through the X31 connector. The sixth and seventh digital inputs of the unit can also be used as analog inputs.

This control section features a circular 9-pin RS 232 serial interface connection at the X2 connector. The third and fifth pins of the interface help in transmitting and receiving data respectively at a minimum transmission rate of 9.6kBaud. The interface is galvanically connected to the power supply of the section using a cable of a maximum of 15m in length. The H11 and H13 LEDs in the MultiEthernet module of this product light up in green when a network connection is available. The section must be allowed to come in contact with exposed conductive parts only after they are grounded to discharge them.

The drive controller with this control section is intended to be used only with those cables, accessories and parts that have the manufacturer’s approval. The controller is a good choice for utilizing in packaging, printing, food and paper processing machines. The control section is never meant to be used underwater or when there is extreme temperature fluctuation.
