The Rexroth BTC06.2A-E-EH3-FW is a portable control panel designed for industrial applications. It has a display, keyboard and several other function keys/switches. The display on the BTC06.2A-E-EH3-FW is based on full graphics LCD technology, includes LED backlight, and supports 240 x 128 pixel resolution. The keyboard on the unit is a slide in strips for 12 axis keys. Function keys/switches provided on the BTC06.2A-E-EH3-FW include a handwheel, an emergency stop switch, an activate button three stage dual circuit and an override potentiometer. The emergency stop switch is comprised of two floating normally closed contacts and can be used with 24 Volts DC / 42 Volts AC. It is rated for more than 100,000 operating cycles. The handwheel includes an internal 16 bit absolute counter and a two place relative counter. A 17-pin main connection interface is located on the bottom of the unit.
Power, RS 422 / RS 485 serial data and other connections for emergency stop and live-man switches on the BTC06.2A-E-EH3-FW are carried through this main connection. A 4-pin projecting interface is located adjacent to the main connection. This interface supports RS-232 and can be used for firmware download to the control unit. Firmware for the unit needs to be ordered separately. The RS 422 / RS 485 combination interface on the BTC06.2A-E-EH3-FW allows interfacing with Indramat controllers. Electrical specifications for the control unit include 24 Volts DC input voltage and maximum 400 milliamps input current. Mechanical specifications for the unit include 1.3 kilograms weight and dimensions at 315 x 180 x 57 millimeters (excluding the detachable handle). The body of the control unit is made of polycarbonate. With main connector plugged in, the protection rating is IP 65.
