Product Description
The Rexroth ADF164B-B05TC3-AS07-A2N1 is a liquid-cooled legacy servo motor/main spindle motor. It supports very low axial loads and its bearings mechanical service life is rated at a 20,000 operating hours. Note that lubricant service life is higher than the bearings’ mechanical service life. The motor is part of the Rexroth ADF series of motors. This family of motors supports an integral holding brake that is either an electrically-engaged release or an electrically-engaged clamp. Electrically-engaged holding brakes are meant to lock the main spindle into positon when the drive controller has the drive enable option switched off and the spindle is standing still. When used as a servo motor, the electrically-released holding brakes are used to hold the linear axes when the drive enable option is missing and when the shaft is stationary.
The holding brake on the ADF164B-B05TC3-AS07-A2N1, as with other motors in the same family, is not meant to stop the motor and its prone to wear after 20,000 motor revolutions when braking the axis. For electrical connections, the motor features power connectors and motor feedback connectors. Note that the power connector has the holding brake connection and the motor’s NTC thermistor connector. The power terminal on the motor can be a power connector or a terminal box.
The ADF164B-B05TC3-AS07-A2N1 has a nominal output apparent power rating of 55 kilo Watts, a nominal torque rating of 250 N-m, a nominal voltage current of 380 Volts AC, and a 111 Amperes rating. The motor has its rotor moment of inertia rated at 0.174 Kilograms per meter (squared) and weighs 206 kilograms. The motor belongs to the insulation class F. Being liquid-cooled, the motor has a nominal heat dissipation rating of 5.4 kilo Watts.
