Made by Rexroth Indramat, the ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1/S011 is designed to be a flange mounted motor rated as Balance class R with standard bearing. The output shaft is plain with no shaft sealing ring. The motor feedback is given through a digital servo feedback with integrated multiturn absolute encoder. The main spindle motors are ideal for industrial application and have been tried and tested for printing, textile and plastics injection moulding machines. The nominal power rating for the ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1/S011 is 52kW.
Being liquid-cooled motors, there are no altitude restrictions for optimal operation, but ideal temperatures are limited within 0-45 degrees Celsius. The motor is also coated in black paint which is acid and alkali resistant, and will prevent chalky buildups and weathering. Frequent cleaning with a steam cleaner can however cause the paint to peel off. The permissible shaft load is dependent on the assembly type used. The heavy-duty assembly can take greater radial loads but will cause reduced lubricant service life. The standard assembly can be anticipated to have a much longer than the rated service life of 20000 hours for the lubricant, however, overloading and non-conformant loading can lower service life. The lubricant also functions as a coolant, dissipating any friction generated heat.
All electrical connections are standardized, and the power terminal comes pre equipped with the motor NTC thermistor and an optional holding brake. The thermistor is built into the motor windings and protects the motor from heat related damage by shutting it down. The motor is also protected by its housing and coverings against penetration by foreign objects, seeping in of water and prevents contact with live or moving parts of the motor.
