Product Description
The ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1 is a main spindle motor manufactured by Rexroth. It supports flange mounting. In this type of mounting, the flange has a leadthrough drill hole which is used. As specified in the DIN 42950 guidelines, the motor can be mounted with the shaft facing up, down, or horizontally. However, when the motor’s shaft is facing upwards, water, oil, and other liquids must be prevented from collecting at the output shaft for extended periods of time regardless of whether a shaft seal is present. The ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1 has a plain output shaft to enhance friction-locked shaft-hub connections. Where the shaft is intended to accommodate torques of a constant direction, an output shaft with key is required to enable a form-fitting shaft-hub connection.
The ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1 belongs to the ADF family of motors. Motors in this family are liquid-cooled and designed to be interfaced with plastic molding machines, printing, and textile applications. Rexroth ADF motors are protected against liquid seepage and external objects. These motors are maintenance free. Therefore, Rexroth discourages disassembling and repairing the motor in the field. Rexroth main spindle motors can also be used as servo motors and their housing is capable of resisting diluted alkaline and acidic solutions.
The motor’s allowable radial force at the output shaft is dictated by the average speed and the bearing assembly. Note that the ADF160C-B05TA3-DD07-A2N1 supports either a standard assembly, spindle assembly, or the heavy duty assemble. Where the motor is being interfaced with high radial loads, the heavy duty assembly should be used. However, this assembly is only meant to be employed in exceptional cases since it reduces the service life of lubricants used. The motor has a rated operating temperature of between 0.0 and 45.0 degrees Celsius. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
