With a motor size of 160 and C motor length, the ADF160C-B05TA1-BS03-D2N1 is the main spindle motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth to be used in tool applications that require liquid-cooled or digital servo main spindle drives. The tool applications it can work for include textile and plastic injection molding machines. The spindle motor functions using the induction principle and so it does not require any maintenance. The design is ideal for flange mounting, and with its liquid-cooled structure, it can be mounted on any elevation.
The ADF160C-B05TA1-BS03-D2N1 main spindle motor uses high-resolution motor feedback. The motor feedback connection is one of the connections on the spindle motor. It measures the motor's rotor position and sends a signal to the spindle drive, allowing for the rotor position and speed's proper regulation. It can only function safely when the ambient temperature is maintained between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The motor feedback's position cannot be changed once the motor has been delivered. It is a nine-pin socket on the same side of the power terminal. Since it's high-resolution motor feedback, it's not advisable to connect the cable over a terminal strip as this is vulnerable to interference.
The housing of the ADF160C-B05TA1-BS03-D2N1 main spindle motor has been covered with a prime black coat. This main black coat has been covered with another layer of paint for maximum protection, but it is not and cannot be thicker than 40 µm. The primary coat is resistant to diluted acid, weathering, chalky build-ups, alkaline solutions, and yellowing, adding protection to the main spindle motor.
