Product Description
The main spindle motor with part number ADF160B-B05TR1-BS03-A2N1 features drive controllers in conjunction with a wide speed range, wide field weakening range, and a nominal power of 40 kW, and motor size of 160. Manufactured by Bosch Rexroth, the motor is used to drive different tool applications like plastics injection molding machines. The motor features an output direction of the power connector to the terminal box's right and a coolant connection located on side B. The ADF160B-B05TR1-BS03-A2N1 motor is liquid-cooled. Because of this, the motor can be operated on any installation elevation, although the ambient temperature must be within a maintained range of 0 degrees and 40 degrees Celsius for a safe operation.
The ADF160B-B05TR1-BS03-A2N1 main spindle motor features an output shaft, a plain shaft without a shaft cooling ring, but it does not have a side B shaft end. The output shaft is ideal for friction-locked shaft-hub-connections. It also has a permissible shaft load for standard assembly only, and so it cannot take on significant radial loads. As for the axial shift load of the main spindle motor, only very low loads are allowed, making the ADF160B-B05TR1-BS03-A2N1 unsuitable for helical toothed output pinions. It also has a lifetime lubricated cylindrical roller bearing and deep-groove ball, taking the motor to a mechanical service life of 20,000 working hours in the case of the bearing.
The Indramat main spindle motor is in the reduced balance class (R), making the motor remains dynamically balanced. In the power connection, a motor NTC thermistor is built into the windings. This can protect the motor against overheating by sending a signal through the drive, shutting down the motor. Even if it does not feature a holding brake, it can still shut off for thermal issues. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
