The ADF134C-B05TC3-BS00-C2N1, manufactured by Bosch Indramat, features a plain shaft without sealing ring with standard bearings and R balance class. The shaft takes advantage of a higher run quality and backlash-free connection between the shaft and hub. The shaft’s bearings are rated for 20000 hours of service life with its lubrication also acting as a coolant dissipating any friction related heat. This service life is measured under optimal conditions and over loading or non-conformant loading can shorten it. The standard bearing assembly also takes precedence over the heavy duty assembly as it consumes less lubricant effectively increasing the motor’s working life.
The optimal ambient temperature for the motor is rated at 0-45 degrees Celsius but the unit has no altitude limits as it is liquid cooled. The motor’s protection is provided by its housing, coverings and a weathering resistant coating of paint which can repel dilute acids and alkalis. Designed for flange mounting, the RAC 134 features broad field weakening range of 1:6 and a wide speed range. If required, the main spindle motor is also available with a mounted absolute encoder.
The power terminal features integrated NTC thermistor (which protects the motor against overheating) and the holding brake which is triggered by the unit’s control circuits. The motors are also available with integral holding brakes which can be ordered with electrically-engaged clamp or release. The holding brake is a locking element of the main spindle when it is standing still. A heavy-duty electrically released brake is also available for the motors. In the event of a faulty motor being delivered or damage, exchange and repair services are also provided by Wake Industrial.
