Product Description
Manufactured by Bosch Indramat, the ADF 134C is used as liquid cooled main spindle motor. These motors offer broad speed ranges and broad field weakening range of 1:6. The rotor position is measured by the motor feedback which is capable of functioning with a resolution of 1/2000000th revolution. The motors are designed for flange mounting. Being liquid cooled these motors can be operated at any altitude but the ambient temperature range of 0-45 degrees Celsius must be maintained to guarantee safe operation.
The main spindle drive motors can be operated, in terms of longitudinal axis of motor as per class 3M1 and, in terms of lateral axis of motor as per class 3M6. The permissible shaft loads vary depending on the assembly types. These being standard assembly, heavy-duty assembly and spindle assembly.
The unit is, as per DIN 40050, protected by its housing and coverings against contact, penetration and seeping in of water. The motors are coated in black paint which is resistant to weathering, acids and alkalis, and build up. Steam cleaning can cause the paint to peel off. The ADF motor series is available with integral holding brakes which can be ordered with electrically engaged clamps or electrically engaged release. Clamping can only be done when the drive has signaled that the motor is at a standstill. Application of the brakes at high speeds in the event of power failure or wire breakage can cause the brakes to be destroyed. Repair and exchange services are provided by Wake Industrial in case of faulty machines. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
