The AC main spindle motor can be operated at any elevation because they are liquid-cooled. The motor is balanced by balance class R as per DIN ISO 2373 which provides resistance against the vibrational effect. The model ADF100C-B05TA1-BS03-D2N1 provides protection against the penetration of extrinsic objects and water due to its IP 65 protection category. The ambient temperature range of 5 to 45 degree Celsius must be maintained for a safe operation. The motor feedback is done by a high-resolution encoder and the motor comes without any holding brake. The motor generates 15 kW of output power while delivering the continuous torque of 72 Nm at the continuous current of 72 A. The power terminal of the motor is located at the top of the motor with an A-side output direction. The net weight of the motor is 70 kg. A prime black coat is applied to the motor housing which provides resistance against building-up chalks, yellowing, dilute acids, and adverse environmental conditions.
