Product Description
The 2AD132C-B35OA2-BS03/S015 is a Rexroth 96 Nm AC Asynchronous servo motor with a 3-pole design. Each pole of this 65 Ampere servo motor must be excited using a 169 AC power supply input voltage to allow the poles to induce the required magnetic field needed to rotate the servo motor. Both the stator and the rotor of the servo motor operate at a different speed, hence the design is called an Asynchronous servo motor.
To ensure this AC servo motor operates with high accuracy, the 2AD132C-B35OA2-BS03/S015 comes with a high-resolution feedback system that helps the motor position the shaft in the correct position, especially when it comes to robotics-related applications where positioning of the shaft and the regulation of the speed is very critical. This servo motor has a low inertia of 0.076 kgm2 which allows this servo motor to increase and decrease the speed of the servo at a quicker pace. The encoder on this motor is configurable between an incremental or an absolute encoder while the users can also choose the second shaft end version where an additional encoder can be attached to the back of the motor to increase the accuracy even further.
The Thermal time constant for this servo motor design is 50 minutes, which is the time it takes for the AC servo motor to cool down and return to its steady-state temperature. The recommended operational temperature for this servo motor is between 0 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius. In the case of high coil temperature, this AC servo motor comes installed with an axial blower with a suction configuration that pulls the air from the environment to help regulate the coil temperature within.
