Product Description
With a power rating of 15 kW, the 2AD132C-B35OA1-BS23-D2N1 is a perfect servo motor designed for high-power applications as it is capable of providing a torque of 96 Nm while generating a peak speed of 7500 rpm thanks to its high-speed ball bearing design. To ensure the bearings provide quality performance, Rexroth recommends lubricating the bearings after every 25,000 cycles of use. The bearings should be replaced after 35,000 cycles of use to ensure high motor performance and prolong the life of the motor.
With an on-board high-resolution digital feedback system, the 2AD132C-B35OA1-BS23-D2N1 servo motor can easily track the positioning of the shaft and also control the output speed of the motor with the help of the tacho feedback system to ensure the motor remains within the maximum speed setpoint added according to the control system PID loops. To stop the shaft at a position and to keep it locked, the motor also comes with an electrically released motor holding brake that provides a braking torque of 30 Nm and takes 70 ms to clamp the brake and 120 ms delay to release the brake from the clamp.
This motor configuration requires 179 volts AC nominal to function and draws around 62 amperes of current from the supply when operating under normal conditions. The current rating might increase with the increase in torque output or when increasing the speed of the motor from 1500 rpm to the peak speed of 7500 rpm; hence, using a compatible heavy-duty power supply module is always recommended with such high-power servo motors. The cable used for connecting this servo motor should have a thickness of 9 to 14 AWG to ensure proper flow of current and to prevent heating in the wires.
