Product Description
The 2AD132C-B35OA1-AD03/S001 is a powerful and efficient asynchronous motor designed by Rexroth Bosch. This motor does not depend on any holding brake to stop. The working of a 2AD motor relies on the coordination of the rotor with the stator. These motors work under the influence of electromagnetic induction, and the stator produces the rotary magnetic field when supplied by an AC. This electromagnetic field also produces current within this rotor and helps in the generation of torque to enable its rotation.
This motor lacks holding brakes, and it has no specialized mechanical way of stopping the rotor from spinning when input power suddenly cuts off. It also means that the rotor is capable of rotating continuously under a load using a magnetic field without any hindrance. In most industrial applications, the exact stops or holds are not required, which makes the presence of holding brakes unessential. Asynchronous motor without holding brakes is widely utilized in engineering because of its simplicity of work, efficiency, and long service life.
This 2AD motor is particularly suitable for use in pumps and fans as their applications do not need a holding brake to operate. In conveyors and production lines, AC motors are applicable to provide constant motion in the motion of material. They are also employed in compressors which are used to compress air and gases, and in HVAC systems to drive blowers and chillers. These motors also contain squirrel cage rotors for high-speed rotation. The lack of a holding brake and dual mounting in this motor decreases mechanical loading and cost, thus useful where continuous rotation is needed. This makes it suitable for operation under high-temperature conditions such as in industrial plants, construction equipment, and automation systems.
