Product Description
The Rexroth Bosch's 2AD132C-B35LA1-BS03/S002 motor comprises a squirrel cage rotor, which is used in asynchronous (induction) motors. The squirrel cage rotor is named so due to its structure it looks like a rotating cage. It includes metal bars linked by rings so that it rotates freely when placed in the magnetic field produced by the stator. As the rotor has no physical couplings with the power supply, it is durable and needs little or no maintenance. It can easily work in many applications under intensive load, which is why it is widely used in electric motors of various types.
This motor can be mounted in two ways; flange or foot mounting. Flange mounting refers to the fixing of the motor flange on a flat surface or on a machine to provide high strength and minimize vibrations. This is perfect for steady uses in which the motor will not be required to shift. In the foot mounting style, the motor is fixed to a base or platform using brackets which enables one to position the motor in their desired manner and also it is easy to either fix or remove the motor. Both mounting styles are useful as they give diverse options for attachment depending on the environment and installation requirements.
Such asynchronous motors are also used commonly in home appliances. For instance, they are commonly used in washing machines, fans and refrigerators. The benefits of using this asynchronous motor in diverse applications are that; this motor is uncomplicated, reliable, and energy efficient. As they are designed to have very minimal contact areas and thus there are fewer components that can wear out, they are suitable for home appliances that need to run for long without frequent maintenance.
