Product Description
With a high resolution digital feedback system to accurately position its shaft, the 2AD132B-B35OB1-DS03-B3V1 is a perfect servo motor for robotic applications with a rotational torque rating of 64 Nm. This servo motor is designed to operate at a base speed of 1500 rpm, which can further increase to a peak speed of 7500 rpm, allowing the motor to operate at high speed, making it perfect for applications such as drilling, CNC routing, and metal milling applications.
This motor also comes with an electrically released blocking brake that operates on 24 volts DC and provides a holding torque of 100 Nm. This heavy-duty brake has a current draw of 1.8 Amperes. It has a brake release delay of 110 ms while it can fairly clamp quickly with a delay of 70 ms, making it perfect for rapid brake engaging and disengaging. The maximum speed this brake can operate on is 7500 rpm, which is perfect as it aligns with the motor's peak speed.
This motor comes with a balanced shaft key, and it also offers a second shaft end on the rear to help attach a second encoder, whether incremental or absolute, for additional data collection and enhanced accuracy. The encoders in the 2AD motor count the number of steps needed to reach a certain position by counting the number of 5 volts square wave pulses. The inverted signal of the square wave would mean the direction of the motor has been reversed, allowing the control module to easily differentiate between the direction of the spin. This motor relies on digital communication such as EnDat 2.1 to communicate with its control module.
