The 2AD132B-B35OB1-BS03-C2V1 motor is an AC Motor produced by Bosch Rexroth, it is of the This series presents a whole range of high efficiency asynchronous induction motors designed for use under conditions of high load. All these motors are characterized by a robust design and contain a built-in blower, which provides efficient heat dissipation and allows for the use of the motors in harsh conditions. This makes these motors to be used in any field that may be of need. It is especially used in machine tools for example lathes and milling machines because they offer a stable and reliable performance. They are also employed in printing and paper processing machinery, food processing and packaging equipment and metalworking and fabrication machinery. This flexibility can be attributed to the fact that the motors produce accurate, reliable, and steady output in so many industries.

The motor has a rated torque of 64 Nm and has a rated current of 45A. It comes with a base speed of 1500 RPM and can go as high as 7500 RPM. The motor's nominal power is 10 kW. The motor uses the frame type B35 which indicates a flange and foot mounted motor and thus will be firmly secured in place. For cooling the motor has an axial blower that requires 170 volts to operate. In the blower design, the airflow is channeled from the A side of the motor to the B side in order to control the temperature of the motor and make sure it is within the right range. Importantly, there is no electrically released holding brake in the motor design. This brake would most commonly be employed to lock the main spindle whenever the drive is not in operation, or the spindle is stationary. However, the motor has a digital servo motor feedback that gives the motor an ability of detecting relative indirect position and hence improve its precision and reliability in operations. The output shaft has a plain shaft with shaft sealing used at the output shaft to increase versatility and protection.

This AC motor has been designed to work in the temperature range of 0 to 45 degrees centigrade and this motor is suitable for installation in areas with an altitude of up to 1000 meters above sea level. One should not use the motor in conditions outside these parameters as this may greatly reduce the motor's efficiency, reliability and general performance because it is not operating within its load factors.
