Product Description
AC motors are expected to deliver mechanical power continuously and repeatedly. Most of the applications requiring AC motors involve complex mechanical systems that take advantage of the motor’s efficiency to convert electrical energy into useful mechanical output. Loads driven by AC motors are quantified based on their torque requirements. For this reason, the loading capabilities of a particular AC motor limit the types of loads appropriate and suitable for the motor. For loads requiring a torque output below the hundred’s range, Rexroth’s 2AD motors provide several AC motors to choose from.
The 2AD104D-B05OA1-FS07-A2N1 is one of Rexroth’s motor variations under the 2AD104D motor family. This motor model has no holding brake, but it has advanced digital servo feedback with a multiturn encoder. This motor feedback allows advanced encoding of the motor parameters during energized states. The 2AD104D-B05OA1-FS07-A2N1 features the default cooling system, common for Rexroth’s 2AD motors. For this particular motor, the air flows from side B to side A. To easily guide users, Rexroth has assigned names to the motor’s faces, which are elaborated further in the project planning manual. Aside from the cooling system, the 2AD104D-B05OA1-FS07-A2N1 has a terminal box on top and a power connector on side A.
At a rated power of 10 kW, the motor runs at a speed of 1500 rpm to deliver a current of 22.3 amperes and a torque of 64 Nm. This motor model has a plain, smooth shaft type, which is more appropriate for high-speed applications. Smooth shafts without keyways are desirable for high-speed applications, as shafts with keyways often experience wear and tear with repeated use in high-speed applications. Finally, the 2AD104D-B05OA1-FS07-A2N1 supports its own weight through flange attachments.
