The 2AD104C-B05OR6-CS07-A2N1 is an advanced asynchronous motor from Bosch Rexroth's highly regarded 2AD series. This motor is engineered for versatility and reliability, serving primarily as a servo drive motor and a rotary main spindle motor. Its design makes it particularly well-suited for use in machine tools, packaging machinery, food industry equipment, metal forming machines, and printing and paper processing machines. 

The motor features a mounting frame size of 100, which refers to the shaft height distance, and a length code of C with a winding type of CS, collectively describing the overall specification of the motor. It provides a rated torque of 48 Nm while drawing 20.5 A of current. The motor consumes 8 kW of power and operates at a rated speed of 1600 rpm. The rotor inertia of the motor is 0.021 kgm² and overall mass is 55 kg. To manage heat generated during operation, the motor is equipped with a radial blower that blows air from the B side to the A side of the motor. The blower, positioned on the right side, requires a minimum clearance of 80mm and operates at 230V, consuming 0.06 kW of power. This efficient cooling system ensures the motor maintains optimal temperature during operation. 

For precise positioning, the motor includes an incremental encoder mounted on the back shaft, utilizing the I²C communication protocol. This encoder ensures that the axis position remains unchanged even in the event of a power failure, with an absolute accuracy of ± 0.009° (± 0.54’) and repeatability of ± 0.005’. The encoder connection is conveniently located on the same side as the power connection, simplifying the setup.
