Product Description
The 2AD104B-B35OB1-CS06-C2N2 servo motor from Bosch Rexroth's 2AD series is engineered for high performance in industrial environments with specific cooling requirements. This motor features a blower that directs air currents through designated channels over the motor's surface, from the A side to the B side, effectively cooling it. To ensure the blower provides adequate airflow for cooling, Bosch Rexroth recommends maintaining a minimum clearance of 80 mm between the blower and any nearby walls. The motor operates best within an ambient temperature range of 0-45°C, with performance potentially diminishing if this range is exceeded.
These 2AD motors are equipped with holding brakes that secure the motor from rotating when there is no power or when the motor is inactive. These brakes operate using 24 volts of DC power with a 10% deflection. For enhanced safety, it is important to monitor the brake power and ensure the control system has an undervoltage detection feature. To maintain the brake's reliability and safety, its functionality should be tested every 8 hours during motor operation and before starting up the motor.
The 2AD104B-B35OB1-CS06-C2N2 motor includes an electrically engaged brake that holds the motor stationary when no signal is applied. However, if the motor's torque surpasses the brake's holding capacity, the brake may experience premature wear. For servo applications, it is advisable to use electrically released holding brakes, whereas electrically engaged holding brakes are more suitable for main spindle applications. The required holding torque for any specific application should not exceed 60% of the brake's maximum stationary holding torque to ensure longevity and reliability. If the brake is inactive for more than 48 hours, a thin rust film might develop. To eliminate this film, it is recommended to grind the brake at 100 rpm.
