The 2AD100D-B05OB1-AS03-A2N2 is a series of AC asynchronous motors that are used in machine tools as main spindle drives and servo drives with high performance capabilities, printing machines, packaging machines, and reshaping machines. This variant of the spindle motor has the size 100, and motor length of D. The maximum achievable speed of the motor is 9k rpm, and the base speed is 1.5k rpm. The rotor inertia without the holding brake is 28 x 10-3 kgm2.
In conjunction with drive controllers, these motors feature a broad speed range, and a broad speed range under field control of 1:6. The construction is flange mounting with power terminal position on top. The power is extracted from terminal side B, and the nominal power is 7.5 kW. As running a motor for a longer period of time can cause heat, this motor is cooled up using an axial blower by air stream from side B to side A of the motor (blowing). The blower connection is through a connector turntable by 90°.
