Product Description
The 2AD100D-B05OA6-AS03-D2N1 by Indramat Bosch Rexroth is an AC motor from the 2AD series. The size of each motor is carefully determined because an undersized motor cannot regulate the load, which could cause overshoot and ringing, while oversized motors may regulate the load, but they are heavier, bigger, and more costly in terms of pricing and operational expenses. There are two types of rotors used in the 2AD series: wound rotors and squirrel cage rotors.
The 2AD100D-B05OA6-AS03-D2N1 motor uses a squirrel cage rotor, and the rotor's bar is always short-circuited at both ends to prevent the inclusion of any external resistance. It is a flange-mounted 2AD motor that is attached directly to the driven machinery by means of a flange connection. The flange is larger in size than the motor (100D dimension), and the unthreaded boltholes are used in it. Its unique design makes assembly easier, and faster and eliminates the need to install a separate washer.
The junction box is fitted to side A of the motor on the top surface. This junction box makes it easier to arrange and maintain the circuit system by connecting or branching wires. The radial blower on the right side of the 100 D motor uses 460 volts that are supplied by 3 separate phases of the motor. The frequency of the 3-phase voltage is kept at 40 Hz and can bear the fluctuation up to 10% of the 460 supply volts. A motor encoder of high resolution with a compatible interface is used. There is a plug or flange socket designed for the connection of the encoder. This high-resolution encoder does not require any additional electronics for position reference.
