The Rexroth 2AD100D-B05OA1-AS03/S001 is a 7.5 kW motor designed for low to medium-load applications. This motor can be used in industrial applications such as printing machines, metal forming and manufacturing machines, etc. This is a heavy-duty motor that can reach a maximum speed of 9000 rpm without affecting the mechanical performance of the motor. To control the motor a supported controller such as the ECOmotor03 is required for controlling the motor rotation angle, etc. The motor also features a Multi-turn encoder with 4096 resolution, increasing accuracy and making the motor more precise.

The motor does not come with a holding brake which may cause it to rotate from its original position once the power is cut off. Since this motor features an encoder, which comes with memory installed on the encoder that helps with both position memory storage and communication with the motor controller. The motor utilizes a double duplex communication method sending error codes and receiving angle positions from the controller.

This motor has a class F DIN VDE 0530-1 insulation that provides heat insulation of up to 155 degrees Celsius, however, the motor should only be operated under 40 degrees Celsius for optimal performance. Speaking of temperatures the Rexroth 2AD100D-B05OA1-AS03/S001 features an Axial blower fan that allows it to suck in air from the front and pass it out the back of the motor helping it cool down its internals when under heavy use. This motor has a Thermal time constant of 50 minutes, causing it to heat up under 50 minutes of heavy use. The blower is designed to help the motor lower its temperature so that the motor can provide high performance when used under heavy load.
