The 2AD100C-B05RA1-AS03 is an asynchronous motor manufactured by Bosch Indramat to be used as a main spindle drive with high-performance capabilities in industrial applications. This industrial motor is very flexible in operation and can be used in a wide range of production and processing machines including printing machines, reshaping machines, packaging machines, and lots more. There are three main types of electrical connections on the 2AD100C-B05RA1-AS03 industrial motor, these connections include the motor feedback connection, the power connection, and the motor blower connection. All electrical cables required for the wiring of this industrial motor are not delivered with the motor, it is the responsibility of the end user to make separate orders for the electrical cables needed by the motor.

The 2AD100C-B05RA1-AS03 industrial servo motor contains a special NTC thermistor which is built into the motor windings. The thermistor monitor in the drive controller protects the motor against overheating by sending out an error message and shutting down the motor during overheating. The connector for the NTC thermistor is integrated into the power connection of the motor. The motor feedback present on this industrial motor is the high-resolution motor feedback system, this feedback system carries out relative indirect position detection and is particularly suitable for use with the KDA/TDA/RAC/DDS/DKR and the HDS drive controller design.

The 2AD100C-B05RA1-AS03 industrial motor controls operational temperature by a combination of natural convection, and surface cooling through the use of an axial air blower. If the motor is to be operated in very dirty environments, then it is possible to conduct clear air to the air blower through a pipe or via an air channel. The maximum permissible installation height of this industrial motor is about 1000 meters above sea level.
