2AD100C-B05OB2-AS23-A2N2 is a servo motor. It supports high-performance servo feedback, which is enabled by an integrated encoder. The motor sends feedback – speed and position measurements – to the controller tasked with controlling motor speed and position. The controller is programmed prior to servo system commissioning. Only trained personnel should configure and program the controller. The motor and controller and connected through two cables: one of these is a power cable and the other one is the feedback cable. The controller supplies the motor with electrical power through the power cable. This power cable connects to a power connector on the top side of the motor. Other features of the 2AD100C-B05OB2-AS23-A2N2 motor include a flange for mounting, an axial blower for cooling, an electrically-released holding brake, a smooth main shaft, and standard bearings.
