Product Description
Bosch Rexroth has achieved innovative mastery, as seen in its design of top-tier drive and motion control units. Its high-performance 2AD motors are compact asynchronous motors designed to be used as rotary main-spindle and servo-drive motors. Some of their applications are printing and paper processing machines, metal-forming machines, machine tools, and reshaping machines.
The 2AD100C-B05OA4-AS03-D2N1 is a Bosch Rexroth 2AD induction motor installed per flange mounting according to IEC 34-7. Flange mounting allows its secure attachment to the machine, reducing the risk of misalignment. It also enhances its mechanical stability and improves its reliability. Another feature of the 2AD motor that promotes its operational reliability is its squirrel-cage rotor. It has a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm2 and guarantees the efficient conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy. The rotor has no slip rings or brushes, reducing maintenance requirements and contributing to the motor’s noiseless operation. Surface cooling is used for heat elimination in the induction motor via an axial blower whose air currents move from side A to side B. They are guided across the motor’s exterior by air baffles.
Built to reach a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute, the 2AD100C-B05OA4-AS03-D2N1 works with a nominal current of 27A and a nominal voltage of 168V. It can attain a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. Its output shaft is balanced with key in terms of DIN 6885-1 and has a sealing ring designed per DIN 3760 – Design A. The Ingress Protection rating of the induction motor is IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it is impervious to water jets sprayed at it from different directions and solid extrinsic materials.
