Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s automation products are some of the most innovative on the market, having future-proof features to improve productivity. One of these is the 2AD motor with squirrel-cage rotors. They can be combined with digital control devices, like those in the IndraDrive, DIAX, and EcoDrive series. Their applications include metal-forming machines, printing machines, and machine tools.
The 2AD100C-B05OA4-AS01-B2N1 is a robust and reliable asynchronous servo motor in the 2AD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its axial blower creates air currents moving from side B to side A and is guided by shrouds over its surface. They facilitate heat exchange across a temperature gradient to ensure efficient heat elimination. Like other motors in the series, this motor has a squirrel-cage rotor with a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm2. This rotor has minimal maintenance requirements due to its simple design. It also contributes to low noise generation and vibration during the motor’s operation. The 2AD motor has a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute but reaches a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute.
Based on the design of its frame shape, the 2AD100C-B05OA4-AS01-B2N1 supports flange mounting per IEC 34-7. This enhances its mechanical stability and the overall structural integrity of the system. To protect it from permanent damage due to thermal overload, the 2AD motor has two inbuilt NTC thermistors in its windings. They form a temperature monitoring system that triggers shutdown at threshold temperatures and notifies users of the fault. The output shaft in the induction motor is the type with keyway, according to DIN 6885-1. It permits the keyed transmission of torques with constant direction and low requirements.
