Product Description
Sustainability and excellence form the backbone of the Bosch Rexroth brand. Its products are suitable for use across a wide range of industries to achieve high-level functionality. Asynchronous motors in the 2AD series by this manufacturer are used in reshaping machines, machine tools, printing machines, food processing and packaging machines, and metal-forming machines.
The 2AD100C-B05OA3-AS03-B2N1 is a compact, surface-cooled 2AD asynchronous motor designed by Bosch Rexroth. Its surface cooling mechanism works with a mounted axial blower generating cooling air currents. These air currents are guided over the motor’s surface by shrouds to ensure efficient heat dissipation. The 2AD induction motor uses a squirrel-cage rotor with a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm2. It aids the motor’s maintenance-free operation due to its lack of brushes and slip rings. High-resolution motor feedback determines its position with impressive accuracy. Its standard-type bearings also remain lubricated throughout their service life, estimated at 20,000 operating hours. The bearings consist of deep-groove ball bearings for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces.
Protecting the 2AD100C-B05OA3-AS03-B2N1 from permanent damage is possible thanks to the two NTC thermistors in its windings. They trigger protective actions when the motor reaches specified threshold values and send error messages to users. The 2AD motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute, but it can attain a peak speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. Thanks to its frame shape, it can be installed per flange mounting, according to IEC 34-7. Flange mounting provides enhanced mechanical stability and rigidity. It also reduces vibrations, minimizes the risk of misalignment, and guarantees direct power transmission. The recommended maximum ambient temperature for the motor’s operation is 45oC.
