Product Description
Bosch Rexroth has a proven track record of success with drive and automation products. Its 2AD motors are combined with digital control devices from the INDRADRIVE, DIAX or ECODRIVE series to yield highly functional intelligent drive solutions. They are used in machine tools and metal-forming machines.
The 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS03-A2N2 is a 2AD asynchronous motor model with lifetime-lubricated bearings. These bearings, consisting of deep groove ball bearings, do not require extra lubrication and have a mechanical service life of 20,000 operating hours. Deep groove ball bearings seamlessly absorb low to medium radial and axial forces and promote the motor’s noiseless operation. They also contribute to its cost-effective operation by reducing the downtime associated with relubrication. Based on the design of its housing, the induction motor’s safe operation, even under poor environmental conditions, is possible. This housing is sealed, meeting the IP 65 protection standard, according to DIN 40 050. It is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to multidirectional water jets.
Surface cooling is the designated heat dissipation mechanism in the 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS03-A2N2. It works with an axial cooling unit generating air currents that flow from side A to side B of the motor. Air baffles guide the currents over the motor’s surface to ensure efficient heat elimination. To protect it from permanent damage due to thermal overload, NTC thermistors are built into the motor’s windings. They are sensitive components that monitor the motor’s temperature. The high-resolution motor feedback in the 2AD model detects and evaluates its relative indirect position, replacing the use of separate incremental encoders. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above sea level and operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC.
