Product Description
Bosch Rexroth provides seamless integration and flawless functionality with its future-proof automation products. The 2AD motors are compact induction motors by the manufacturer used as rotary main spindle and servo drive motors in applications like machine tools, metal-forming machines, and printing and paper processing machines,
The 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS03-A2N1 is a surface-cooled asynchronous motor in the 2AD series by Bosch Rexroth. Its surface cooling system comprises an axial blowing unit with an air stream that flows from side B of the motor to side A. This air stream is guided by air baffles over the motor’s surface to ensure adequate cooling. The motor’s standard bearing has deep groove ball bearings that absorb low to medium radial and axial forces and permit high rotational speeds. They are also designed to remain lubricated throughout their service life, estimated at 20,000 operating hours. In addition, they generate low friction, eliminating energy losses and improving the motor’s overall efficiency. The 2AD model generates a nominal torque of 35Nm.
High-resolution motor feedback is the motor feedback system in the 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS03-A2N1. It detects its relative indirect position with impressive precision and eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder. The 2AD model’s housing has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050. This means it can be safely operated under poor environmental conditions as it does not admit solid external materials or water jets sprayed at it from different directions. It also has NTC thermistors that monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. Its squirrel-rage rotor has a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm2 and permits high mechanical stresses, enhancing its overall operational reliability.
