Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s 2AD series consists of efficient housed induction motors using fixed blower units for surface ventilation. They are compact units serving as rotary main-spindle and servo-drive motors in diverse applications. These include reshaping machines, printing machines, metal-forming machines, and food packaging machines.
The 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS01-B2N1 is a Bosch Rexroth 2AD motor with lifetime-lubricated bearings. These bearings consist of deep-groove ball bearing suitable for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces. They withstand rapid rotations without excessive friction or wear and are highly durable. The bearings also ensure low noise generation during the motor’s operation and reduced energy consumption. Like other motors in the 2AD series, the housing of this model meets the standard of the IP 65 protection category according to DIN 40 050. This means it will not admit solid extrinsic materials or water jets sprayed at it from different directions. Consequently, its operation under poor environmental conditions poses minimal risks of damage.
Heat dissipation during the operation of the 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS01-B2N1 is via a fixed axial blower generating cooling air currents that travel over its surface. These air currents go from side B to side A and are guided by air baffles to ensure efficient dissipation. The NTC thermistors in the motor’s windings are part of its temperature monitoring system designed to quickly detect temperature changes. They protect it from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. The 2AD motor is dynamically balanced, according to DIN ISO 2373, and belongs to Vibration Severity Level R. Its base speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute, but it can reach a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. It also generates a nominal torque of 35Nm.
