Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is proactive in identifying and solving automation challenges in different industries. Its 2AD motors are compatible with digital control devices from the INDRADRIVE, DIAX or ECODRIVE series. They are commonly used in reshaping machines, food processing and packaging machines, and metal-forming machines.
The 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS01-A2N1 is a Bosch Rexroth 2AD induction motor installed per flange mounting. Its housing is an IP-65-rated enclosure per DIN 40 050 designed to prevent the entry of solid external materials and water jets sprayed at it from different directions. Such a design also prevents its contact with parts, either moving or to which voltage is being applied. The motor’s cooling system comprises an axial blower generating an air stream from side B to side A. This air stream is fed over its surface via air baffles and depends on a temperature gradient to facilitate heat transfer. NTC thermistors are integrated into its windings to monitor its temperature and prevent damage caused by overheating. As a result, the motor’s operational reliability is enhanced.
Friction-locked shaft-hub connections are guaranteed with the 2AD100C-B05OA1-AS01-A2N1 thanks to its plain output shaft. This design also provides a higher run quality and backlash-free connection between the shaft and hub. The mechanical service life of the 2AD motor is 20,000 operating hours. It comes pre-lubricated and requires no further lubrication, aiding the motor’s maintenance-free operation and reducing downtime. Like other 2AD motors, this model is equipped with a squirrel-cage rotor with a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm2. This rotor contributes to low noise and vibration levels during the motor’s operation. The motor should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above sea level.
