2AD100B-B05OR2-AS03-B2N1 is Bosch 2AD series industrial motor. A manual supplied with the unit contains relevantly safety instruction. Operators must observe the general safety instructions and the safety-related guidelines and handling instructions in this manual. This will prevent personal hazards, material damage and errors. This manual must be stored by the user during the whole product lifetime and passed on when the motor is sold. Prerequisites for appropriate and safe use of the motors are proper transport and storage, correct assembly and connection and careful maintenance and operation. The motors have been designed for installation in industrial machinery. The motors comply with the following standards and directives: EN 60034-1 for rating and performance and EN 60034-5 degree of protection. Work required on the electric system may only be carried out by skilled electricians.

Tools for electricians (VDE tools) are absolutely necessary. Prior to commencing the work, operators must isolate and protect the system or plant against restart. They must also ensure de-energization, ground the motor and cover or shield any adjacent live parts. After completion of the work, operators should unmake the measures in reverse order. The 2AD100B-B05OR2-AS03-B2N1 motor has a shaft with key. It cools via surface cooling and is fitted with a 115 Volts AC axial cooling fan. The motor mounts securely to a mounting surface that is fixed to the motor flange through mounting screws. A power cable carrying motor power connects to a power socket on the top of the motor that points towards the right. Some 2AD motors have additional threaded holes along their sides for inserting eye bolts (for details, see the dimension sheet). Additional eye bolts can simplify handling and transport.
