Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s 2AD series consists of asynchronous motors with high density and performance. They typically come with fixed blower units for surface ventilation and squirrel-cage rotors. These motors are used in machine tools, food-processing and packaging machines, and metal-forming machines.
The 2AD100B-B05OB1-AS00 is an induction motor in the 2AD series by Bosch Rexroth. Its power terminal is positioned at the top, while the terminal output with the connector is on side B. It is cooled via a surface ventilation mechanism comprising an axial blower. This blower generates an air stream that moves from side B to side A of the motor, guided by air baffles over its surface. NTC thermistors protect the motor from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. They are thermo-sensitive components with a fast response time, meaning that they quickly detect changes in temperature and respond accordingly. Like other models in the 2AD series, this model is dynamically balanced according to the requirements of DIN ISO 2373.
There are minimal risks of damage when the 2AD100B-B05OB1-AS00 is operated under adverse environmental conditions. This is because it is a product of the IP 65 protection category, according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and safe from the penetration of multidirectional water jets. The 2AD motor has a base speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute but can attain a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. Its thermal time constant is 35 minutes, while its nominal current is 17A. It generates a nominal torque of 22Nm and accommodates a nominal voltage of 182V. The squirrel-cage rotor in the 2AD motor has a moment of inertia of 0.014 kgm2.
