Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is an automation industry giant with numerous future-proof products. Its 2AD motors are air-cooled induction motors with squirrel-cage rotors in a compact housing. They are ideal for use as rotary main spindle and servo-drive motors. Their applications include machine tools and metal-forming machines.
The 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-D2N2 is a model of the asynchronous motors in Bosch Rexroth’s 2AD series. It is designed with a base speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute but reaches a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. Its squirrel-cage rotor requires minimal maintenance due to its simple and robust design, contributing to the motor’s overall low maintenance requirements. The moment of inertia of this rotor is 0.014 kgm2. This 2AD motor has a frame shape that supports flange mounting and lifetime-lubricated standard-type bearings. They consist of deep-groove ball bearings that absorb low to medium radial and axial forces and accommodate high rotational speeds. These bearings have a nominal service life of 20,000 operating hours.
To permit the keyed transmission of torques with constant direction and low requirements for the shaft-hub connection, the 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-D2N2 is equipped with an output shaft with keyway according to DIN 6885-1. Its cooling involves the use of an axial blower generating air currents flowing from side B to side A of the motor. Air baffles guide these air currents over the motor’s surface, while a temperature gradient facilitates heat transfer. To protect it from irreversible damage due to overheating, the 2AD model is equipped with NTC thermistors built into its windings. Its Ingress Protection rating, according to DIN 40 050, is IP 65, indicating that it will not admit solid extrinsic materials and multidirectional water jets.
