Product Description
In conjunction with drive controllers, the compact AC motors of the 2AD series by Bosch Rexroth feature a broad speed range. They are asynchronous motors commonly used as rotary main-spindle and servo-drive motors. Their applications are seen in machine tools, metal-forming machines, and paper-processing machines.
The 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-C2N1 is a 2AD asynchronous motor model with standard-type bearings. These bearings have lifetime-lubricated deep-groove ball bearings for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces. They have an impressive ability to withstand high rotational speeds without overheating or premature wear. As a result, they are well-suited for high-speed applications. The motor’s output shaft is the smooth type with a sealing ring to provide a force-actuated, shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and minimal noise generation. With this shaft, clamping sets, clamping sleeves or clamping elements can be used to couple the machine elements to be driven. Its sealing ring meets the standard of DIN 3760 – Design A, allowing the attachment of transmissions with oil baths or circulating oil lubrication systems.
Heat is eliminated via surface cooling in the 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-C2N1. The cooling system comprises an axial blower whose air stream flows from side B to side A of the motor. They are guided by shrouds over the motor’s surface to ensure efficient heat dissipation. An NTC thermistor is built into the windings of the 2AD model to monitor its temperature and protect it from overheating. Another protective feature of the motor is its IP-65-rated construction, preventing solid extrinsic materials and water jets from different directions. Its base speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute, while its maximum speed is 9,000 revolutions per minute. It generates a nominal torque of 22Nm.
