Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is the manufacturer of the AC motors of the 2AD series, which serve as main spindle drives and servo drives with high performance capabilities in machine tools. They are also used in printing machines, packaging machines, and reshaping machines. These motors are built with varying speeds and torques to accommodate various applications.
The 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-B2N2 is one of the asynchronous motors in the 2AD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with standard-type bearings consisting of deep-groove ball bearings designed for taking up low to medium radial and axial forces. These bearings aid the motor’s energy-efficient and noiseless operation by reducing friction during its operation. The motor’s cooling system comprises an axial blower generating air currents going from side A to side B of the motor. These air currents ensure heat dissipation via surface cooling and are guided through shrouds over the motor’s surface. Its frame shape permits flange mounting, and its design meets the IP 65 standard per DIN 40 050. This means it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to multidirectional water jets.
Like other 2AD motors, the 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-B2N2 is dynamically balanced according to DIN ISO 2373 and is a product of Vibration Severity Level S. Its squirrel-cage rotor has a moment of inertia of 0.014 kgm2 and can withstand high mechanical stress. The motor has low maintenance requirements and uses an output shaft with keyway per DIN 6885-1. This allows the keyed transmission of torques with constant direction and low demands for the shaft-hub connection. The 2AD model has a base speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute but reaches a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute.
