Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed its 2AD asynchronous motors for optimum adaptation to the machine with different frame sizes and accessories. They present intelligent drive solutions with high power density when they are combined with digital control devices from the IndraDrive, DIAX, or EcoDrive series.
The 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-A3N2 is a model of the AC main spindle motors in the 2AD series by Bosch Rexroth. Its relative indirect position is detected by high-resolution motor feedback while its cooling is facilitated by an axial blower with the air stream from its side A to side B. This model is equipped with deep-groove ball bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. They have a nominal service life of 20,000 operating hours and reduce energy consumption and heat generation by significantly reducing friction. The smooth output shaft in the 2AD motor provides friction-locked shaft-hub connections, but has no sealing ring. It is dynamically balanced according to the requirements of DIN ISO 2373 as a product of Vibration Severity level R.
Two NTC-type thermistors are permanently installed in the winding of the 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-A3N2 to protect it from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. One of these thermal sensors serves as a spare as only one is functioning per time. The motor’s design supports mounting via flange mounting and it has its power terminal position at the top. Its housing is protected against contact with moving parts and prevents the penetration of solid extrinsic materials and water sprayed at it from different directions. This is in line with the DIN 40 050 standard. The 2AD model reaches a base speed of 1,900 revolutions per minute and a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute.
