The 2AD100B-B05OA2-AS03-A2N2 is an AC main spindle motor in Bosch Rexroth’s 2AD series. It is designed for flange mounting and has its power terminal connection on top. Its cooling mechanism requires the use of an axial blower with the air stream from side A to side B of the motor. The asynchronous servo motor is equipped with high-resolution motor feedback for the detection of its relative indirect position. This encoder replaces separate incremental encoders. Providing friction-locked shaft-hub connections in the 2AD motor model is a plain output shaft. It has a higher run quality and ensures a backlash-free connection between the shaft and hub. The bearings of the servo motor remain lubricated throughout their service life, estimated at 20,000 operating hours.

The NTC thermistor built into the windings of this AC servo motor protects it from damage due to overheating. It initiates shutdown mechanisms at threshold temperatures and sends an error message to the user. This motor’s base speed is 1,900 revolutions per minute, but it can reach a maximum speed of 9,000 revolutions per minute. The recommended maximum ambient temperature for its operation is 45°C.
