Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is built using several future-proof units. One of these is the 1MB frameless spindle motor. The motors in this series are maintenance-free asynchronous motors with high speeds and power densities. They display excellent running smoothness, making them well-suited for operations like C-axis machining, thread cutting, and spindle positioning. They are also used for turning, milling, and grinding in several factory applications.
The 1MS310B-6D-A1 is the stator of the 1MB frameless spindle motor designed with a frame size of 310, a frame length B, and a winding code 6D. It is equipped with an aluminum cooling jacket that houses a coolant fluid. As the fluid flows around the jacket, the heat generated by the motor is transferred to it. This leads to an even distribution of the heat and produces a thermally stable motor. This cooling jacket has a stepped outside diameter so that the ends of the stator are described as thick and thin. The stator also has a laminated core with end windings in front of it.
The installation and operation of the 1MS310B-6D-A1 require a dry, dust-free environment. It uses a 1.5m long loom of cables that is enveloped with a protective hose for its electrical connections. The loom consists of three power wires, and its insulation is more suitable for higher temperatures than the motor power cable. This is because the cable loom is within the motor. The Ingress Protection rating of this 1MS stator model is IP 00 according to EN 60529; hence, protective seals are required for its operation in damp or foggy locations. The ambient temperature at this site must not exceed 40oC. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
