Product Description
The safe and high-performance Rexroth IndraDrive drive system features future-proof components of different kinds. The servo motors, gearboxes, frequency converters, and control units that comprise this drive system are designed to provide highly efficient work for a variety of operations. One of the servo motor series in the system is the 1MB series of frameless spindle motors. They are used as direct drives in motor spindles and are ideal for applications like processing centers, transfer lines, and special-purpose machines.
The 1MS240B-4A-A1 is a 1MS stator manufactured for the 1MB frameless spindle motor with a frame size of 240 and a frame length B. Due to the liquid cooling mechanism of the stator, it has a high power density. The stator is designed with an aluminum stator cooling jacket around which a coolant fluid flows. The heat generated during the operation of the motor is transferred to this coolant, and as it flows, it provides thermal equilibrium within the spindle housing. It also has an air gap that removes heat from the motor’s rotor.
The electrical connections of the 1MS240B-4A-A1 are made using a long loom of cables of approximately 1.5m length. The loom has three power wires and is conducted through the stator end with a bigger exterior diameter. It is covered with a protective hose, and its insulation is designed for higher temperatures than that of the motor power cable. Its protection class is IP 00, and this means that it is prone to damage by the penetration of solid extrinsic objects or water jets. Hence, it demands the use of protective seals for an extended service life, especially when operated in damp or foggy atmospheres. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
