Its components include servo motors, gearboxes, frequency converters, etc. The liquid-cooled 1MB frameless spindle motors are high-speed synchronous motors in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. They are comprised of rotor and stator parts and are used as direct drives in motor spindles and applications such as modern CNC machines, processing lines, and transfer lines.

The 1MS160F-4U-A1 is a stator model in the 1MS series, created for a 1MB frameless spindle motor model of frame size 160 and frame length F. It is equipped with an aluminum stator cooling jacket for its liquid cooling mechanism that endows the spindle motor with a high power density. In this cooling system, heat from the motor is dissipated to the coolant, and as it flows, it transfers the heat and ensures thermal equilibrim within the spindle housing. Another feature that aids the cooling function of the stator is an air gap that dissipates the heat from the rotor.

Using a long loom of cables that is approximately 1.5m long, the electrical connections of the 1MS160F-4U-A1 can be done. This loom has three power wires and passes through the end of the stator with a bigger exterior diameter. A protective hose serves as its covering and gives it an insulation that is more resistant to high temperatures than the power motor cable. The Ingress Protection rating of the stator is IP 00; hence, it is not protected against damage by the penetration of water jets or solid extrinsic materials.
