Control and monitoring of the 1MB frameless spindle motor may require additional sensors and actuators. Typical applications for 1MB motors include milling and grinding in machine tools, transfer lines and special-purpose machines. 1MB motors are used in combination with a main spindle control device. The liquid cooled stator gives 1MB motors a high power density. 1MB motors should not be used if they are operated under non-approved ambient conditions, or if Bosch has not specifically released the motors for that intended purpose.
