Beckhoff has developed the ZK7000-0303-0010 from the ZK Motor Cable Series to be robust and versatile for use in the demanding industrial environment especially for dynamic drag-chain systems. This cable is somewhat special due to its toughness and high efficiency in tough automation and control applications.
Together with an M8 installation size, the cable plug connector has male contacts and 4 pins in total. This is a setup that is perfect for Ethernet connectivity because it is P-coded where P stands for compatibility of the part in high data transfer applications. The color of the black body of the connector is maintained as RAL 9005 giving the connector a more professional look and a uniform look across other industrial parts. The cross-sectional structure of the cable is 1 x 4 x 0.34 mm² (AWG22) which is suitable for Ethernet networking applications that call for high signal bandwidth and no signal interference. This makes the cable suitable for transmitting data across automation systems which require high reliability. One of the most important characteristics of the ZK7000-0303-0010 is its shielding which prevents the influence of electromagnetic interferences and provides a clear signal in conditions of high electromagnetic compaction. The outer cable diameter is 6.5mm with an allowance of ± 0.2mm to meet the flexibility requirement while at the same time providing mechanical stability in tight areas and through tight bends.
The cable has a PUR (polyurethane) outer sheath, which is for its durability and ability to withstand wear and tear, oil, and extreme temperatures, thus increasing the cable’s working life under stress. The jacket is black and has a red stripe exactly similar to that of the RAL 3020 color code, to increase visibility and safety besides being easily identifiable.
