The ZK1090-6161-0020 EtherCAT cable has an M12 D-coded connector designed for industrial applications. It supports data transmission for Ethernet based systems like EtherCAT. The cable ensures reliable data transfer even in harsh environments with its robust design and shielding.
The ZK1090 series cable features an M12 D-coded connector at both ends configured with a straight plug for secure connections. It has a rated voltage of 160 V and a rated current of 4 A at 40 °C suitable for demanding industrial setups. The rated impulse voltage of 2.5 kV provides protection against voltage surges and the shielding helps minimize signal interference. The contact resistance is less than 5 mΩ that contributes to efficient signal transmission. Its insulation resistance exceeds 10 GΩ as per IEC standards. The cable is made of tinned copper conductors and shielded with aluminum clad foil. It supports a mutual capacitance of 52 nF/km at 1 kHz and has a characteristic impedance of 100 Ω ± 15 Ω at 100 MHz critical for Ethernet based systems.
The ZK1090-6161-0020 EtherCAT cable structure is a star quad optimizing it for Ethernet performance. It has a cross section of 1 x 4 x 0.34 mm² (AWG 22) and an outer diameter of 6.5 mm ± 0.2 mm. Its bending radius is 8 times the outer diameter for moved installations and 15 times for drag-chain applications where durability is critical. The model supports up to 3 million cycles in drag chains. The model’s shielding coverage is above 85 % and the dielectric strength between wire and wire as well as wire and shield is 1000 V DC/700 V AC. The cable weighs 61 kg/km and is suited for drag-chain installations in automation systems.
