Product Description
The ZK1090-3100-0050 EtherCAT cable is a highly reliable industrial grade communication cable designed for use in EtherCAT networks. Beckhoff manufactures this cable to ensure seamless data transmission, durability and optimal performance in dynamic environments.
The ZK1090 series cable is engineered with a 1 x 4 x 0.14 mm² cross sectional area equivalent to AWG26. The cable is reinforced by a braided shield also made of tinned copper that provides an effective shielding with a 90 % optical coverage. This shielding design ensures strong protection against electromagnetic interference. The cable is rated for a dielectric strength of 1000 V DC or 700 V AC and offers an impressive insulation resistance exceeding 150 MΩ/km that highlights its reliability in electrical insulation. This cable is suitable for drag-chain applications and specifically designed for high motion environments. It requires a minimum bending radius of 20 times its outer diameter to maintain longevity in dynamic operations. It features a star quad cable structure that ensures reduced signal interference. The cable is equipped with shielding that provides a 90 % optical covering factor and effectively reduces vulnerability to external electromagnetic interferences.
The ZK1090-3100-0050 EtherCAT cable is constructed with a polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket which provides excellent resistance to wear and tear. It is available in green and the inner wire insulation is made of polypropylene (PP). The jacket also features printed details for easy identification including the UL AWM 20963 marking which ensures compliance with high quality standards. It features a characteristic impedance rated at 100 Ω ± 15 Ω at 100 MHz ensuring consistent signal quality over the line. The cable's construction includes a low unbalanced resistance of only 2 % which minimizes signal loss and maintains stable connectivity.
