Product Description
KS1418 is a Beckhoff bus terminal. It is equipped with 8-channel digital input. The terminal acquires binary control signals and sends them from the process level to the higher level control units. The signals are isolated to protect them from corruption. LEDs on the terminal provide an effective method for monitoring and troubleshooting the status of connected input signals. The terminal uses 1-wire connections. The nominal input voltage is 24 Volts DC. Input voltages between -3 and +5 Volts are considered as a low signal or binary 0. Input voltages between 11 and +30 Volts are considered as a high signal or binary 1. The input filter delay is 0.2 milliseconds which ensures high responsiveness. The typical input current is 2 milliamps. 500 Volts of electrical isolation is provided between the field potential and the K-bus.
In the image process, the bit width is 8 inputs. Address or configuration settings are not required. Weight of the KS1418 bus terminal is approximately 55 grams. Its dimensions are 12 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm. The specified storage and operating temperatures are -40 to 85 and -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. The ambient relative humidity should not exceed 95%. Protection class of the KS1418 terminal is IP20. The unit is designed for indoor use. Outdoor use is an option when the unit is installed inside a robust industrial cabinet. Polycarbonate is used for the terminal construction. It installs on the 35 mm DIN rail that conforms to DN 60715 with a lock. Mounting of units adjacent to each other is possible with a double slot that has a key connection. Solid conductors and flexible conductors can be used for the signal connections.
