Product Description
The Beckhoff KS1104 is a digital input device with four channels for industrial automation. Beckhoff made the digital input module that efficiently and separately picks up binary 24 V DC control signals and sends them to higher-level automation units. This makes it a great choice for installations that need to be simple and take up little room.
The KS1104 digital input device works with a nominal voltage of 24 V DC and a range of -15% to +20%. The input device has four digital input channels and a 3 ms input filter that stops signals from mechanical switches from moving around. The digital input device can handle voltages between -3 V and +5 V for a "0" signal and between 15 V and 30 V for a "1" signal. The K-bus and I/o device need approximately five mA per channel to input. The device handles 4 process picture input bits. The connector is safe and meets EN 61131-2 type 1/3 standards. IIP20-rated. The module protects and preserves signal purity with 500 V electrical isolation between the K-bus and field potential.
The KS1104 has been approved by CE, UL, ATEX, and DNV GL. The digital input device also has an Ex marking of II 3 G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc, that means it can be used in some explosive situations. The KS1104 has a small polycarbonate housing that fits a 35 mm DIN rail and meets EN 60715 standards. The device can work in temperatures between -25°C and +60°C and store in temperatures between -40°C and +85°C. The device fulfills EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 vibration and shock criteria. Easy to install and repair, the KS1104 works with 2- or 3-wire systems and features pluggable wiring. Wake Industrial products can be shipped worldwide for your convenience.
