The KL3202-0028 manufactured by Beckhoff is a highly versatile 2-channel input module designed for industrial automation in PLC and bus control applications. Beckhoff manufactures highly innovative and efficient modules for several complex tasks of industries and in very few years it has gained much reputation in technology designs.

This KL3202-0028 terminal bus module supports different temperature sensors by including Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, and Ni1000. This allows it to handle a wide range of applications with the ability to measure temperatures as low as -200°C and as high as +850°C for platinum sensors and -60°C to +250°C for nickel sensors. This KL input analog series plc module is constructed with a 2- or 3-wire connection system with the 3-wire configuration being the default setting. This ensures greater accuracy and stability in measurements. With a conversion time of approximately 250 milliseconds and a resolution of 0.1°C per digit it gives highly accurate readings. The typical measuring current is around 0.5 mA and it maintains a low measurement error of less than ±1°C. The module's housing is made of durable polycarbonate and is designed with resistance to vibration, shock and electromagnetic interference as standards.

The KL3202-0028 terminal bus operates via the K-bus and requires no external power contacts by drawing around 60 mA from the bus. It offers electrical isolation of up to 500 V between the K-bus and the signal voltage by ensuring safety and preventing interference. Also, with its compact design having dimensions as 2 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 68 mm deep it has become easy to install on a standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting. It conforms to various safety and environmental standards CE and other DNV GL.
