This IE3202 extension box includes different sensors as Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, Ni1000 and resistance measurement devices such as potentiometers. It supports 2-, 3-, and 4-wire connections with screw-type M12 connectors with a preset for 4-wire configurations. The module offers a wide measuring range from -250°C to +850°C for Pt sensors and -60°C to +250°C for Ni sensors, with a precise resolution of 0.1°C per digit by ensuring detailed readings. The measurement error is minimal, at less than ±1°C providing high accuracy. This IE extension series unit features a configurable conversion time which is typically set at 250 ms, but adjustable down to 65 ms for faster data acquisition. It operates on a nominal 24 V DC power supply, with a power consumption of 40 mA (excluding sensor current), while the measuring current is typically 0.5 mA. It supports 5 configurable input filter variations to ensure optimal signal conditioning based on the specific application requirements.

This IE3202-0000 extension box has an electrical isolation between the channels and control voltage at 500 V but there is no isolation between the individual channels. The device conforms to multiple industrial standards for shock and vibration resistance and electromagnetic with a working temperature from 0°C to +55°C. The polyamide (PA6) housing is durable and compact, with dimensions of 30 mm x 126 mm x 26.5 mm by making it easy to install in variable positions using two M3 screws.
