This IE3102 extension box channel module accepts signal voltages ranging from -10 to +10 V and offers an impressive 16-bit resolution by ensuring high accuracy in data acquisition. The resolution for the 0 to 10 V range is 15 bits which allows analog input readings with minimal measurement uncertainty of less than ±0.3% relative to the full-scale value. The input connections are screw-type M12 connectors which help in ensuring secure input handling. It is enclosed in a durable PA6 (polyamide) housing measuring 30 mm wide, 126 mm high, and 26.5 mm deep by making it compact yet highly durable. For easy installation, the housing features two fixing holes with a 3.5 mm diameter for M3 screws. This IE extension box unit’s requires a nominal 24 V DC supply, with a tolerance range of -15% to +20%. It consumes 55 mA from the control voltage (US) without including the sensor current, with the power supply connection made via M8 sockets, both male and female, that are 4-pin and a-coded.
This IE3102-0000 extension box channel unitalso features configurable input filters and a conversion time of 250 ms to as low as 5 ms for faster response times. It is electrically isolated and this helps in ensuring 500 V isolation between channels and control voltage, though no isolation is present between individual channels. It is approved by CE and UL certifications by providing safety and compliance. Also, it has an internal resistance greater than 100 kΩ and can handle a common-mode voltage (UCM) of up to 35 V.
